FEES AND PAYMENT
POLICIES
Reasonable flat fees
and/or hourly rates
are available on
both criminal and
family law cases.
Flat fees and hourly
rates are set
according to the
complexity of the
issues and on a
sliding scale
similar to that of a
legal clinic, based
on the client’s
income. My hourly
rate minimum is
$75.00, maximum is
$150.00.
I’m a plain talker
without the
legalese, and I’ll
explain the
fee/hourly rate in
depth. I understand
the cost of an
attorney is an
expense that you
probably didn’t plan
for. Of course, I
accept payment by
cash, check, or
credit card. Most
cases require a
deposit, and a
payment plan for the
remainder of the
attorney fees and
costs is available,
subject to
completion of a
financial statement
and based on a good
credit history.
In any case, the
initial phone or
office consultation
with me is free
[limited to 30
minutes], so there
is no risk to you to
give me a call and
learn what your
rights and options
are. When we are
finished, if you’re
not convinced that I
will be able to
assist you with your
case and protect
your rights, then
you can simply
decide not to hire
me.
Some individuals
attempt to represent
themselves [in
propria persona]
without legal
assistance, but this
is usually risky
because inexperience
compounded by
ignorance of the law
and court
proceedings can
severely impact your
case. Good legal
representation can
eliminate the
pitfalls in acting
in as your own
attorney, and will
actually decrease
the stress you are
bound to suffer.
California State Bar
Professional Rules
of Conduct and
statutory law
require that when an
attorney fee for
services may exceed
$1,000.00, a written
attorney-client fee
agreement must be
entered into by the
attorney and the
client, and that the
client be provided
with a copy.
Discover for
yourself how my
aggressive and
thorough legal
representation can
help protect your
constitutional and
statutory rights.
Call, fax or email
me. Evening and
weekend
consultations are
available at no
extra charge.
